I know there has been some talk about easy ways to get into smite for new players who don't know what the heck is happening, so i made a tip guide!(note:these tips are not extremely obvious!)
Tip 1~ "Ksing" is a a controversial subject.
This is a term you will be hearing or have heard a lot. For all you who don't now KS stands for "kill stealing" which was originally named "kill securing" which brings up the argument in quite a silly argument. This is easy to point out the difference when your in a team fight and an enemy is at low health but escapes I.e *Thor ulti's away* Player 1: Dang he got away Player 2: i got this guys *comes in from the side and kills him* both: Ks guys! or the team is engaged in a team fight and one player gets all the kills (This is a jerk move to say Ks if you mean it in a negative way, just be glad you won!)
As for the other Player 1: *Dives enemy god* Player 2: MINE *auto attacks once* I GOT IT Player 1: Dude i dived for that KS-this results in a loss-. The term is over used and over exaggerated to be honest even in a team fight or an attack with two players then one says just that. In some scenarios don't steal from the carry it hurts the team, the next don't whine that you didn't go 21-2 because of one kill which you whined about the whole time.
Tip 2~ Know the combos,
This means synergy with other players. Now it's easy to just look up a build and get the moves,(you can do it here!) but there is more to that such as the team's combos. This means the ulti's combined powers in team fights and out. If you have an Odin and Nieth in a lane it doesn't mean the lane work out you just wont have as much synergy as Odin and Zeus. There are simple ways to solve this, like check out what the ulti's are!. In most cases see what your team has for their "sub roles" such as clean-up crew(someone who kills the rest of the low health enemies after a fight i.e Bastet or Loki.) to some one who can combo ulti's in mass groups to deal massive burst or melt them down fast.
Tip 3~ Common Logic,
There will be cases where someone says "First time as this god couldn't wait i guess lol" this is not good. Every time you get a new god, or have low health to do some three-god dive, settling to be a tank even though you have never done it before, remember to think long term you'll be risking way more then you should so just do the smart choice unless you know that you can do it.
Tip 4`Check your time,
you could lose your account! Many people assume a game will be 10min then a surrender to follow. Always assume a 40-55 minute game and nothing less you can get reported and mess up other people's day too. There are to many people leaving the game to go to the mall with little Jimmy, but you wanted to screw over a team today, Good job!
Tip 5~ Risk Reward Factor,
Over-extending, being greedy, assuming things, and forgetting about your team-mates, these are common. This single factor can determine the laning-phase and much, much, more depending on the severity of risk. If it a dive at full health when you have no CD on and your Beads, or aegis is ready feel free for the extra cash. If there is a battle where they are backing don't follow up get some farm and deny them some and they might as well have died when they lost that much XP. Many people assume you have to kill, Smite is also a mind game, if you bash them hard and let them go they may not die, but they will change their play style and you can take advantage to that.
I hope these tips have helped and remember the basics and you'll be better then half of the community who rush in an instant.
